Voters at the Business Traveller Awards chose London Heathrow airport as the best location for duty-free shopping in the world
London Heathrow airport has won the Best Airport for Duty-Free Shopping prize at this year's Business Traveller Awards. Voted for by readers of Business Traveller, the award saw Singapore Changi airport named the second best airport for duty-free in the world, followed by Dubai International and Amsterdam Schiphol airports.BAA retail concessions director Brian Woodhead said: "We are absolutely thrilled to have won an award at the Business Traveller Awards, arguably one of the most important awards fixtures in the business travel and hospitality calendar. We have worked hard to provide passengers flying through Heathrow with a rich variety of shops to enhance their journey so it is fantastic that this has been recognised by the magazine's readers."
