Asia Miles was named "Best Frequent Flyer Programme" at the 2009 Business Traveller Asia-Pacific Travel Awards ceremony last week. This was the fifth consecutive year for Asia Miles to be honoured by the region's travel and hospitality industry.

The Business Traveller Asia-Pacific Travel Awards ceremony is regarded as one of the most prestigious events for the industry in the region. The results of the awards are based on an annual readers' poll conducted and analysed by an independent market research agency.

Paul Loo, General Manager Cathay Pacific Loyalty Programmes, accepted the award on behalf of Asia Miles at the awards ceremony in Hong Kong.

"We are very honoured to receive this award which highlights our strong commitment to delivering product and service excellence to our 3.5 million members worldwide," Mr Loo said.

"Being chosen Best Frequent Flyer Programme by business travellers in this region is a major endorsement of our efforts and we will continue to seek improvements for the benefit of all our members."
